GlitchBulb
Arduino/VVVV
GlitchBulb is an audio-reactive light sculpture created using the arduino microcontroller and vvvv programming language as my submission to the D&AD student design competition 2011. The brief set was to devise a new and unusual way to interpret music.
The Glitchbulb plugs into a PC or laptop and actively reacts to any music that is played. Lights beneath it's skin vary according to the tempo, velocity, volume and high, mid and low frequencies of the song, creating a unique light show that perfectly matches the music.
